Appraisal With Aircraft & Records Review

A “FULL” appraisal is one that includes an inspection of the aircraft and a review of its historical maintenance records. This appraisal is aimed solely at determining the overall condition of the aircraft and its records to support the value opinions of the appraiser. An appraisal is not a pre-purchase inspection and would not, for example, include an opening of inspection panels on the aircraft or a detailed review of all historical maintenance record archives.

A desktop appraisal assignment is one where there is no inspection of the aircraft nor review of any of its associated historical records. This type of appraisal relies on information provided by the client or other outside sources and includes a wider range of assumptions. This type of appraisal is associated with determining an opinion of Retrospective, Current or Prospective Fair Market Value and can include Hypothetical assumptions where appropriate.

These appraisals are generally performed as desktops and can include hypothetical assumptions where appropriate.
