A desktop appraisal assignment is one where there is no inspection of the aircraft nor review of any of its associated historical records. This type of appraisal relies on information provided by the client or other outside sources and includes a wider range of assumptions. This type of appraisal is associated with determining an opinion of Retrospective, Current or Prospective Fair Market Value and can include Hypothetical assumptions where appropriate.
Our Desktop Appraisals fully comply with the standards set forth by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP). The appraised value will only be as accurate as the information provided with the valuation analyses based upon an assumed aircraft exterior and interior physical condition, interior cabin having a market acceptable configuration, tastefully appointed materials and color schemes, with maintenance status and other information provided by owner / operator or assumed from the appraiser’s own database.
